Fighting Evictions
While the federal COVID-19 eviction moratorium is no longer in effect, some cities and states still have non-payment eviction moratoriums in place. Check with your local and state housing agencies to see if your area is covered.
If you are facing eviction because you are unable to pay rent, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau can help you locate rental assistance in your area.
If you have received an eviction notice from your landlord, get legal help immediately. The Legal Services Corporation can help you find free/low-cost legal aid in your area.
